EALS has a series of publications (Digests) available for sale at the Secretariat and in some bookshops in the capitals. The Digests are a product of on-going collaboration between Law Africa Publishing Ltd and the East Africa Law Society. These are:

1. Compendium of Codes of Legal Practice, Conduct, Ethics and Etiquette in Africa

The Compendium, the first in a series, aims to provide for legal practitioners all over East Africa in a one stop publication, an easy reference tool, being the basic rules and regulations governing the practice of law. The objective of the compilation is to plugg the information gap and provide the most regulatory regulation framework. It also encourages comparative analyses and adoption of best practices in the East African region.

The publication also makes a contribution in enlightening members about, and interesting them in the on-goings of the east African Court of Justice (EACJ).

2. The Tax Law Digest

The Digest of Tax Cases is targeted primarily at the Tax practitioner - lawyer or Accountant. It contains a peak into the nascent field of tax jurisprudence in East Africa and covers some important cases that have been handled by the East African superior courts of record. It in itself remains a useful resource manual for practitioners and students alike.

3. The Constituional Law Digests

The Constitutional Cases Digest is a helpful tool for the Constituional scholar in East Africa, practitioner and student alike. It is also a useful resource tool for individuals in the corporate sector and civil society who are key stakeholders in interpretation of the constitution and fundamental rights and freedoms. It amply illustrates the approach the east African Courts have taken in interpreting their own Constitutions.

4. Jurisprudence on Regional and International Tribunals Digests

The Digest is borne out of the recent developments in the judicial arena of the East African Community and other interstate arrangements where matters are increasingly getting litigated abd determined at the international fora. It moves towards helping in consolidating knowledge on diverse aspects of substance and procedure from the tribunals for both the academicand practice purposes.
